Zoey Best is a former marine biologist turned entrepreneur, who helped start Durham's only non-alcoholic kava bar and now runs a neighboring dispensary. She was born and raised in Durham and she is an alumnus of Duke University. She stumbled upon entrepreneurship as a way to pay off the loans for her Master's degree, and wouldn't be where she is today without the support of many kind-hearted women who answered all of her annoying questions and rooted for her to succeed.

Zoey is excited to be on the WE Power board of directors because she understands and appreciates the value in community and a network of shared resources. She realizes that she wouldn't be where she is today without an army of advocates, and she wants to reciprocate that goodwill in any way she can. In her non-existent spare time Zoey enjoys dancing, singing, SCUBA diving, and spending time with her husband and two glorious cats.
